Carbon Nano Fiber / Carbon Micro Fiber

Carbon Nano Fiber for reinforcement

An extra fine fiber with aspect ratio of length = 1 to 15um by diameter = 200 to 800nm. Carbon Nano Tubes (CNTs) have a diameter of 0.4 to 50nm and are known to aggregate easily. However, ALMEDIO's Carbon Nano Fiber (CNF) has characteristics allow to be added with high concentration because of easy dispersion. By blending the CNF to resin at high concentration, it is possible to improve electrical / thermal conductivity, strength, elasticity, friction and wear, and radio wave absorption properties. It is able to be alternatives to metals. In addition, it can be molded at high speed and become a sustainable composite material by using a thermoplastic resin. Thermal conductivity is 100W/mK or more, and Volume resistivity is 10-5Ωm or less as a powder filler.

Carbon Nano Fiber for conductivity

An extra fine fiber with aspect ratio of length = 1 to 20um by diameter = 200 to 800nm. It can aim for higher electrical / thermal conductivity thanks to higher graphitization degree than Carbon Nano Fiber for reinforcement. Thermal conductivity is 500W/mK or more, and Volume resistivity is 10-5Ωm or less as a powder filler.             

Carbon Nano Fiber for high conductivity

An extra fine fiber with aspect ratio of length = 1 to 20um by diameter = 200 to 800nm. It can aim for higher electrical / thermal conductivity than Carbon Nano Fiber for conductivity. Thermal conductivity is 900W/mK or more, and Volume resistivity is 10-6Ωm or less as a powder filler.

Carbon Micro Fiber for reinforcement

A milled fiber with a diameter = 5 to 10um and length = 10 to 25um. Thermal conductivity is 100W/mK or more, and Volume resistivity is 10-5Ωm or less as a powder filler.

Carbon Micro Fiber for conductivity

A milled fiber with the same diameter = 5 to 10um and length = 10 to 25um as Carbon Micro Fiber for reinforcement. It can aim for higher electrical / thermal conductivity thanks to higher graphitization degree than Carbon Micro Fibers for reinforcement. Thermal conductivity is 500W/mK or more, and Volume resistivity is 10-5Ωm or less as a powder filler.             

Application

As a filler for improving electrical / thermal conductivity, strength, elasticity, friction and wear, and radio wave absorption properties on thermoplastic resins, thermosetting resins and paints etc.
